Independent Day School and Nursery for Boys and Girls from 0 to 18

About us / Around the area

Holy Trinity International School is a co-educational independent school offering a quality internationally – minded education to children from 3 months up to 18 years of age, in the very heart of Kidderminster.

We are conveniently located beside the Birmingham Road, and so accessible for commuting families and by students arriving by train. We are a member of “International Education Systems – “IES”, with sister schools in Sidmouth, Devon; Grantham; South Africa; Hungary and Boca Raton, Florida. Please see www.iesedu.com for further details about this leading independent international education Institution. We are also currently members of the International Schools Association (the Headteacher is a Board member of ISA) and the GSA (Girls School Association).

The school’s underlying philosophy has never changed – pupils come first; they are the very essence of the school. Opened in 1903, the school celebrated its Centenary in 2003 and produced a commemorative book ‘Holy Trinity Centenary’ – celebrating 100 years of Holy Trinity. Copies can be obtained by contacting the school’s administration office. We keep in close contact with the Friends of Holy Trinity and the former Trustees and welcome all to return at their convenience to see the many changes and join our assemblies, shows and musicals (please see our web page calendar dates or request a copy of our school calendar.)

We continue to grow and build the school for future generations and having completed a major investment in our coeducational 6th form specialist suite. Years 12 and 13 now have their own meeting rooms, lounge, Bistro area, art room and computer / study rooms. It is a first class facility to rival any local school and places leadership and responsibility on the students for its upkeep, tidiness and leisure use.

We are delighted that the pool, officially opened in May 2006, has proved to be a great success and is home venue for the prestigious Wyre Forest Swim Team. Swimming has always been an important part of our school as children swim weekly from the age of 3 years upwards. Many thanks to everyone who contributed so generously.

Being housed on one site ensures continuity of education between the four main school sections: Little Trinity, Prep School, Senior School and Sixth Form. This continuity is being increasingly recognised by Educators as a great advantage for students who get to know all teachers and naturally transfer from one section to another with their friends. Changing schools at an arbitrary 11 or 14 years of age creates stress in many children and can actually interrupt the learning process, to the detriment of many. Our small, caring, nurturing environment always puts children at the heart of the learning process and our 180 teaching days and after school clubs, homework halls and extracurricular opportunities provide an education for every talent and interest. Happy, successful students create a happy, successful school and we are proud to be part of it!

Access to all areas of the school is undercover, with no need to dress for the ‘outside’ between lessons – a distinct advantage during the winter months.

In our wider support of familes and students, HTIS has linked with Dr Rachel Johnson, an independent Chartered Clinical Psychologist, specialising in supporting families with children of all ages. With over eleven years of experience within both the health and education sectors, Rachel now works in independent practice, offering a wide range services to support the development of children, from birth through to sixth form.
